Sleeping Sleuths
It is important for us to get enough sleep so we are healthy both physically and mentally. It allows our minds and bodies to take a break from daylight activities and wake up in a good mood the next day. I have made a diagram that shows how much sleep you would need, as an average, based on your age.
The Three Sieves
The Socrates Story ‘The Three Sieves” tells us about the importance of thinking before you speak. We need to ask ourselves if what we are about to say is kind, true and necessary, if it’s not, don’t say it.
Living by Beatitudes
If I met Jesus in a park and he asked me…
“Are you living by my Beatitudes?”
I would say…
Pope Poem
My group and I made a poem for our Pope who recently passed. Thank you for playing such a role for for our community, Pope Francis.

Pennies for Hitler
I didn’t even get to befriend her. Why does everything I love go away so soon? It’s like peace is running from me. I take one last quick glance at what was once Elizabeth’s house; it’s hard to look for long. Chaos fills the air, life won’t be the same for anyone, would it? My thoughts won’t leave me alone, is Aunt Miriam safe? What about Mrs Huntley? What happened to the library? It hurts to think of the things I care about, I really hope they’re okay. All around me, still, lifeless bodies are scattered on streets, in houses, everywhere. The library that once stood proud and tall is now nothing but rubble. Every step I take feels heavy, like I’m carrying a big sack of rice to bring home and eat. Humans aren’t the only things that left the world, laying still on the ground is a dog, hopefully in peace. Even if I own a dog, would I be able to protect it? Can I protect anything at all? A black figure walks towards me, Aunt Miriam, she dusts herself off before greeting me with a warm, comforting hug. Joy overcomes me to know she’s safe, I’m glad she knows I’m safe too.

Lenten Backpack
I have ‘packed’ a Backpack designed for the 40 day long period, Lent. The bag contains a Bible to bring me closer to God. A cross, to represent Jesus dying for us. A can of tuna as I can only eat fish on a Friday and an orange, and bottle of water for those who may need their thirst quenched.
Peter’s Perspective
Dear Diary,
My legs were exhausted from walking. The people walked so far, the town completely disappeared. I would’ve gone for some water, but our only source of it is limited. Some people carried large sacks and bags while others carried the injured, they must have been more exhausted than I was. But amongst all of them, the people who have it the worst are those who carry a lot of grief. To know someone you loved died is excruciating pain. Dad looked like he wanted to cry and he had every reason to, but he‘s probably held back tears for me. It was chilly there but I tried my best not to look troubled, Dad has enough problems already.
